Apple and Cranberry Porkchops with Fried Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 4 bone in pork chops
  • 3 apples of your choice
  • 1 can of whole cranberries
  • 1 cup of apple cider
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper 

For Potatoes:

  • 6 medium size red potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 Sweet Onion Chopped
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil to cook in

HOW TO:

First season the pork with the salt and pepper.  Take the pork 2 at a time and sear it on both sides, Put this back in the Dutch oven pot and add all the ingredients, on low cook for about an hour let the juices marinate into the meat and it will almost fall off the bone

.  As this is cooking start your potatoes by peeling and cleaning and cutting them into almost chip size pieces, place this into the oil season them with salt and pepper, add onions then  cover, cook for about 15 minutes on low-medium heat, flip them over and cook for about 15 more until soft and tender.

Take the potatoes and drain them on a paper towel, set on a plate and serve with the pork alongside. Top with apple/cranberry mixture.  Enjoy!!!!
