Grilled Hot Chicken Wings

  • 10-12 Chicken Wings
  • Hot Mess Sauce (see below)
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup Franks Red Hot
  • 3 tablespoons of chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 stick of butter


Cook wings on the grill, make sure you watch them and constantly turn them so they don’t burn.  I use an outdoor grill (charcoal) that reaches about 400-500 degrees. I usually cook them about 15 minutes total.

Make the sauce above by using a saucepan and adding all ingredients.  After the wings are cooked completely, toss in the sauce.

The sauce above will be more then enough for the wings with about a cup and a half left over.  Put in a container for later use.

Easy, delicious and just as good as fried.
